 Buckeye Days Celebrates City’s Roots

Buckeye history comes alive Jan. 28 – 30 with Buckeye Days in Historic Downtown. The event features a Cattle Drive Parade, Dr. Buck’s Wild West Show, Helzapoppin’ Senior Pro Rodeo, Western Marketplace, great food and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

Here’s the schedule of festivities each day:

Friday, Jan. 28

·        6:30 p.m. - BBQ dinner at Buckeye Elementary School Gym, 210 S. 6^th St., 85326 with live music, entertainment and a 50/50 raffle to benefit Friends of the Library.

·        Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children under age 10, and can be purchased at either the Coyote or the downtown library.

Saturday, Jan. 29

·        9:30 a.m. - Cattle Drive Parade along Monroe Avenue

·        10 a.m. – Western Marketplace opens at 6^th Street Plaza

·        Dr. Buck’s Wild West Show

o  Participate with world champion performers in trick roping, six gun spinning, bullwhip cracking and trick horse riding

o  BBQ lunch at the Buckeye Museum, 116 E. MC 85 following Parade.

·        2 p.m. Helzapoppin’ Senior Pro Rodeo at the South Buckeye Equestrian Center, 10300 S Miller Rd, Buckeye.

·        5-9 p.m. – Western Steak Cookout & Live and silent auction (benefiting local high school scholarships) at the South Buckeye Equestrian Center 10300 S Miller Rd.

Sunday, Jan. 30

·        2 p.m. Helzapoppin’ Senior Pro Rodeo at the South Buckeye Equestrian Center, 10300 S Miller Rd. Buckeye, AZ 85326
