The Surprise-El Mirage PTA Council, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization representing 18 PTA Schools of the Dysart Unified School District, Desert Oasis PTSA and Mustang PTA of Calibre Academy, is hosting its 3rd annual Walking Together For Youth 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Our goal is to make the Walking Together For Youth 5K a premier annual event to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity in the lives of our children. Proceeds for this event will sponsor physical education programs in our schools.

The event will feature a 5K race that begins and ends at:
Willow Canyon High School
17901 W. Lundburg in Surprise.
The race begins at 8AM on March 1, but registration will open at 6:30AM. Only those pre-registered by Feb 21 will be guaranteed a t-shirt and goodie bag. Following the race, we plan to have an awards ceremony for all 1st,2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, and refreshments post-race.

Early registration is just $15 for children under 18 and $20 for adults and $50 family registration (2 adults-2 children, a $20 savings!) to participate in our 5K. Children under 5 are free. All pre-registered participants (by Feb 21) will receive a race day t-shirt, race bib and a goody bag as well as entries into our drawings for some fabulous prizes! Day-of registrations will receive a goodie bag and t-shirt based on availability.
